Provide just and necessary assistance and services to military veterans who served in the Armed Forces of the United States and whose last discharge was honorable or general under honorable conditions to their families, and to the families of deceased veterans with service who need such assistance and services.

Provide oversight distribution of all relief, supplies, and services that may be appropriate for the benefit of veterans, their families, and families of deceased veterans.

Voice of Democracy

High School Students (9th to 12th grade)

Established in 1947, our Voice of Democracy® audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves regarding a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay.

Middle School Students (6th to 8th grade)

The essay contest encourages young minds to examine America’s history, along with their own experiences in modern American society, by drafting a 300- to 400-word essay, expressing their views based on a patriotic theme.
